2014, that’s a wrap!

Each year, I am always thankful for the opportunities I’ve had, the people I’ve met, the places I’ve been, and the lessons I’ve learned.  2014 has been an incredible year ofchangeandgrowthfor me.   Those two words both involve something; taking calculated risks and being open to the unknown.  Change isn’t always an easy thing to deal with; it can be really hard when it’s not on your terms.  Fortunately, all the changes in my life this year were on my own terms.
I wrote a blog post awhile ago about change and how in 2014 I moved to another country, quit my job, started my own business, quit my team, started a new one for myself, got married, bought a house, and traveled/raced in 8 countries.  It was a busy year and a great one!  I acheived almost all my goals and am the happiest I’ve ever been.  The 30th year of my life has been the best one yet.  Each year of the past few years gets better and better! It’s because of the choices I make.  We can choose to look at the positive things on life instead of focus on the negative; we can choose to try new things and put ourselves out there. We can’t choose some of the things that happen to us, but we can choose how we react to them.  I believe that always realizing I have a choice and taking responsibility for those choices is why my life gets better every year!
I try to get better at everything I do each year; to recognize my strengths and also improve upon my weaknesses.  Own up to my mistakes and shortcomings and find ways to improve.
