Evening antics

Instead of staying holed up in the studio condo tonight, we decided to brave the rain.

Stupid stupid rain. It’s not looking good. I’m probably not going to get to ride tomorrow. It’s supposed to rain and SNOW all night and a lot of the day tomorrow. I guess I will try for Sunday. I’m super bummed…I am sad that I have to deal with this in August, let alone several other months out of the year. Guess that is price you pay to live in CO…  My Scalpel may have to wait another day or two for me…

Last time my parents came to Breck, there was a freak snow storm…it snowed 18″.

I didn’t know that I had to brave the smooth jazz festival going on as well. Now don’t get me wrong, I have a very eclectic music taste. Hell, I play guitar and flute…I can appreciate music…but if you ask me what my LEAST favorite type of music is, it would be smooth jazz. Yuck yuck…and we fell upon it. My parents were having fun which made me happy, but my brother and I were embarrassed and uncomfortable. So what did I do? Take lots of pictures to tell you about it!

I went to go hide in the fire escape stairwell and was talking to Jeff on the phone. Suddenly, I thought I heard the sax getting louder and I thought, “no, couldn’t be.”  then I hear it again. I peer out the door and see a freaking conga line behind the sax player coming straight at me.  I screamed and ran down a flight of stairs as fast as I could. I felt like a trapped animal.

I swear to god, if you come any closer, I am throwing a cracker in your sax.

This is just HELLA painful. Like seeing a train wreck.
