Woo, that was quite a long silence for the blog. Interbike was crazy as usual, and the fact that is in Vegas never helps the cause! It was nice to see everyone in the industry, and all of the friends and fans of Ergon who came by the booth.
Day 1 and 2 were at the Outdoor Demo. Jeff, Yuki, and I got in a ride outside on Sunday after setting up the booth (it was over 100 degrees out!). And Yuki and I snuck out during day 1 of ODD for another ride. We went left and way out into the middle of nowhere. It was very hot once again, and there were cliffs and not a whole lot of trail to ride on! Here are a few pics….If you are on facebook and/or twitter, you will have already seen some of these.
Instead of “Where’s Waldo?” It’s “Where’s Yuki?”
Some furry fellas came by to say hi (Fuzzy and Fixie Dave!)
Best jersey I saw the whole time I was out there.
I got to say hi to Jude from Magura… he is awesome and always checks up on my brakes and fork, although it rarely needs work!
I got to take Jackie R from FRS out on her 4th mtb ride EVER! She did soooo awesome. I couldn’t believe it.
Like check this out:
Great job Jackie!! 🙂 You rock!
Indoor Booth at the Sands
Booth party (and I did not have to wear a costume this time… phew!)
Trouble Maker Number 1(Guitar Ted) and Trouble Maker Number 2 (Jeff!)
Eddie Clark, Richie Schley, and Hans Rey.
I got to tell Ryan and Brent from Twin Six about how I wear one of their shirts almost every day.
I got to hang out with Danielle AND Namrita. SCORE!
Topeak put us on their booth!
Ergon won best grips of ’09 from MTBR! Yeah baby!
After being on my feet for 5 days and 45+ hours, early mornings, and late nights, we packed up the FJ and headed back to the homeland. And I mean we packed it… I don’t think we could fit much more in there.
…and we were greeted by fall and gorgeous mountain views once we got near Glenwood Springs, CO. It was great to get away from the concrete wasteland and see real nature and plants!
It’s good to be home… and I even got in a ride today to Gold Hill. Climb for 1.5 hours, then ride back down. That’s niiiice.
A week in the desert, and no bikini pictures? I’m disappointed.
yeah…b/c there are sooo many beaches there. 🙂
You totally ROCK and took some awesome photos! Thanks for the lessons at Bootleg – you made it a lot easier to manage. Cant wait for our next ride!
We either need a trailer….or a sprinter van!
