It has been mostly work and a little play for the last couple of days. I am lucky that my job is flexible and occasionally I can travel and work remotely. It is also a challenge because I must get things done, but really I want to be laying on the beach having fun! 🙂
Jeff and I got a ride in yesterday. It was definitely hot out. Here are some pics. My body was feeling tired, but we rode easy. No problem.
There was a lot of vegetation in the way on the trail.
Jeff cruising along.
We even got down to the beach for about an hour.
That is me, and yes, it was very cold.
At Sea Otter, Evomo floated me some goodies. Thanks guys!
Today is the ride at Crank Brothers. Honestly, I have been feeling very tired, run down, and really nauseated all day today. I am not sure I will be partaking on the ride, especially since I have a race coming up on Saturday. I am planning on riding over to the start, assessing how I feel (and saying hi!) and probably going back to the hotel. Boo. 🙁 Who knows, maybe I will feel better once I get some fresh air.
Somewhere in Europe is a team van with my name on it… wow, what a head trip!!! Maybe I will get to ride in it one day! 🙂
Dang!, cool deal on the Van!
So you liked SoCal huh?
The heat can get to you sometimes. The heatwave just came on recently in the last few days, before then it was in the 70s. I’m glad you guys enjoyed it, year-round riding is why I love it here, and will probably never leave. Although CO in summer is pretty darn excellent too.

enjoy the nice warm weather and dry trails. You missed a few feet of snow here on the front range, yes I said feet’s of snow.
Makes me miss the ocean.
C’mon Sonya, I know you’re holding out on some better beach pictures than that…
Seriously.
Thanks!
Burt
Looks like you were lurking near the Betty Davis house…nice beach but rockier than hell if you want body surf.
sweet nuun visor!
