Park City Point2Point tomorrow!

By September 2, 2011March 22nd, 2017No Comments

This is the 3rd year for the Park City Point 2 Point, one of the best mountain bike courses on the planet. I did it in 2009, the inaugural year for the event and MY inaugural year as an endurance racer. I did my first 100 mile race in 2009 (Breck 100) and the PCP2P was my 2nd longest race…ever! I made my mistakes and had some crashes in 2009, but I’m back in 2011 with a lot more experience and with more wattage!

~80 miles, 14,000′ of elevation gain and almost ALL singletrack… and not just any singletrack, the kind that makes the butterflies in your stomach swirl to the point where you feel like you’re going to explode from happiness and you can do nothing by smile ear to ear and giggle out loud. Of course, it’s a race and it’ll also hurt like a mofo.

Here is a photo from Dave Byers – the course profile with his own notes. Thanks buddy! I’ll have wheat thins at the finish ;)

The race roster is extremely stacked, the prize money is tangible, and the quality of people at this race is better than great! I can’t wait to see all my buddies and ride on trails like this:

Eurobike has been going on and Canyon’s huge buzz is their new 29er.

Gorgeous. I’d LOVE to have this in my quiver.

Lock n load tomorrow.  We’ll see if I have any mojo, or if it’s still fermenting on the Breck Epic course!  It takes me 2-2.5 weeks to recover from a stage race.  I’m sitting at exactly 2 weeks. Tick tock tick tock.

This is the last mountain bike race on the schedule before the Brasil Ride!!!
