but at least I got some antibiotics to help me get better faster. I really would love to ride my bike this weekend. It’s still 3 days away, so I’m feeling confident that maybe I’ll feel good.
My broken car has been more than a pain in my broken butt because when my car is not working, I get around by bike(normally not a problem)…and when I’m sick, getting around by bike is really difficult. I’ve been riding my bike the sort of downhill bike path for 5 miles to work as slow as I can so I don’t pass out (ok, exaggerating maybe a tad, but it’s not a fun experience), and then taking the bus back or getting a ride from my roommate. I finally got a new starter for it (a Dresco, brand new $$$), but NOT from Autozone…so I guess when I’m feeling up to it, I will do the repair. My arms feel weak when washing my hair, I don’t think they would want to be wrenching on some engine bolts. ๐
I think tomorrow will be a better day, especially because the big green sinus chunks are starting to leave my head (hehe…)
I miss my bike………
I’ve done plenty of starter jobs and if you are gonna do that “off your back”, you are crazy! Especially if you are as sick as you say.
I dunno……maybe call in the calvalry for this job. You don’t want to get worse than you are, or do you have access to a hoist indoors?
Sorry if I seem a little overbearing. I am a dad afterall! ๐
Hope you fell better soon, I have a creeping crud as well…. What are your plans for team sponsorship for next year? Wondering if you have to go through getting new sponsorship each year. Also, any ideas on what racing you are going to do next year?
Don’t worry, G-Ted!! I have done this repair 4 times already (I know…ughhhh). It won’t be a problem. ๐ You just remove a few things and can reach in and do it. I AM going to wait till I feel better though, which is taking longer than I would like.
Brian, I’m going to wait to respond to your comment in the form of a post… eventually. I do have to re-apply for new sponsorship every year, though there are some teams that actually choose you that you can’t really apply to. For example, Cannondale requires you re-send your resume and as long as you behaved, I think they take you again. One hopes ๐
thanks for the information Sonya. Hope you do get picked for Cannondale again, you seem fairly happy with that bike. Hopefully I run into you and Jeff when you come up here to Fort Collins, Lots of Mountain Biking here….
Hey Brian! Thanks for the good wishes. I’ll come up to Ft Collins after 24 hours of Moab. ๐ I haven’t gotten to do too much riding up there, so it’ll be FUN!
