Jeff came down to say goodbye since I am leaving on Saturday, and he brought some sort of weird styrofoam snow/sleet with him. I am not quite sure what this stuff is….
and for your viewing pleasure… I am winded b/c I ran up 3 flights of stairs to get my camera. 🙂 I was overstimulated from my “Cherry Choc-obama latte” I had at Brewing Market just moments before.
and might I add, the coffee shop was HOPPING. I couldn’t find a parking spot for several minutes, and it took 10 minutes for my latte to come out b/c so many people were stuffed in there. Typical Boulder….. and might I add, they were selling $2000 espresso machines too.
Bah! I got cought in the styrofoam during my ride!! not fun, like little ball bearings, luckily sensed it coming and was making my way home
That be “groppel” … http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groppel … oo
More singing…. definitely more singing needed!
Here in the south we call it “hail” :).
It wasn’t quite hail… it was soft. It wouldn’t hurt if it ‘twer pelting you. 🙂
Hmmm…. that’s crazy! We only ever get ice. I don’t envy your temps, but I do envy some of your snow. Have a safe trip.
It’s also called “corn snow”:

I’ve only seen it falling in Boulder. Now, I’m in AZ and would give anything for some snow – corn or not!
Great Blog!

Ohhh that stuff sucks. I got in the middle of a storm flinging that stuff out down at ski Apache a few years back. Hurt like hell on the face while trying to ski downhill!
