It’s been a whirlwind since I got home from Haiti. I had 2 weeks to get caught up with work and get ready for Nepal! I continued to ride, but was very tired after the travel and the massive amount of personal stress before MTB Ayiti at home.
I snuck in a few rides on trail, some hike-a-bike practice with dumbbells and a 25lb weightvest that crushed my soul and made my knees sore, and squeezed in a work trip. Winter returned to Colorado so I wasn’t entirely disappointed that I had to bail on all organized interval training!
I had to go to Vancouver for a national sales meeting just days before departing for Nepal. It was nice to see some friends along with the trip! I got home on Wednesday, frantically unpacked and then packed again and began my journey to Nepal on Friday.
It was a long journey to Nepal. My ticket was booked out of LAX. Mega mega mega thanks to Michael David Winery. I headed to LA on Friday, visited a couple shops, and hung out with The Munson. I stayed with Todd and Leslie and had a killer time!
There was even a cupcake ATM.
We went to Kings Road and to Intelligentsia. Some favorite beans!
I also got to meet up with my friend Michael from MTB Ayiti for dinner. The next morning, I flew out of LAX to Bangkok.
22 hours later, I arrived via Seoul, Korea. I had a 10 hour layover in Bangkok, so I opted for a hotel room to get some rest. I went to bed at 3 AM in Bangkok, got up at 7:30 and got on my next flight headed to Kathmandu.
On Monday afternoon, I arrived in Nepal.
