Today was another lovely day in the Querque. Admittedly, it was a bit chilly as temps were in the upper 20s when I left this AM. However, it warmed up so much that I was melting under my thermal jacket by the end of my ride! The Land of Enchantment is what New Mexico is called… just look at any New Mexico license plate. It truly is an amazing place. Today, I was lucky enough to ride 3 hours on the road followed by 1 hour on the trails. The trails were still covered in snow, but today they were snowpacked and slippery. I was feeling a little more pushy on the downhill and almost lost my front wheel a few times in the slippery snow. It was kinda fun! I gave my upper body cannons some extra work with all the handlebar micro-adjustments!
I found this interesting. At 6800 feet, the trail was all snow. There was not a patch of dirt in sight.
The Suunto.
Descend 500 ft and you have…
The Suunto
Today was the first day in a long time that I didn’t feel sore and I actually felt really strong and was pushing bigger gears at the same effort!! I can tell that I am getting stronger and all these miles are paying off. It’s exciting to feel and see the shift.
Hope Santa treats you well tonight!
