I paid my dues with all my road training and rewarded myself over the weekend!! Singletrack is like dessert… luscious and worth craving!
Saturday was my first day up at Ned for the year. Unfortunately, a bunch of West Mag will be closed for some beetle kill work, but Jason and I got in a good 4.5 hour shred session. The difference between trail and road riding is that riding a trail doesn’t feel like “training.” It feels like fun exploration with yes, a little suffering! There were tons of people out and about – what a gorgeous day!
I HAD to get my Breck and alpine fix as soon as I caught wind of dry trails. My buddy came up with me and we got our fill for 3.5 hours of some fun Breck trails. Riding around that area always feels like I’ve come home.
Another great day on my Canyon!

Monday, I got up early to cruise around on my bike and yell at Matt during the Bolder Boulder. This is the first Memorial Day Weekend I’ve been in town!! I wanted to do the race, but considering I got sore from running 2 measly miles the weekend before, it wasn’t going to happen. I was amazed at all the runners participating. Very cool! After that, I got in a quick Super Walker session and jetted home to pack.
Tuesday morning, I got on a plane to Germany.
